I just recently updated my pro-version to the newest.  I've tested the "off course" alert and that seems to work fine ( Thank You! ) but I don't see anything on RWGPS that explains the procedure for down-loading a full map.  I don't have access to a WiFi per say but assuming I hook up at the local McD's and use theirs is there going to be a prompt asking me if I want to down-load the full map or does it do that automatically? Is there some way this could work by just hooking my phone up to my computer via wired USB cord? Would be nice if there was more of a detailed instruction on how to down-load full maps. Anyway, I love this app and love that it continues to evolve.

Sorry there isn't much more documentation. I barley have time for the "fun stuff". But you will need your phone to have some sort of internet connection (wifi would be best) and you probably want it to be plugged in. Just choose a ride from the "My Rides" or "Rides Nearby" tab. After the route appears on the "preview" screen select "Download This Map" from the menu. Go get some coffee or eat a sandwich depending on how big the route is. It'll download in the background. After it's done, make sure you select Menu -> Preferences -> Map Source -> "OSM Hosted by RWGPS.com"

This is something that you'd want to do a day or so before the ride, just in case there is a network glitch that has you start over, not at a McDonald's along the course, could take too long to download.

Have a great ride!

Ah, thanks for the quick response.  I see now that I can choose the map source once I press on the "preferences" menu. I can't wait to give this a try. Now all I have to do is wait for some warm weather.
