Downloading My Rides from Ride with GPS works fine but when I try to use the Navigation function in Cue Sheet Pro the cursor remains at the starting point.  Believe the cursor should remain at the middle of the screen and the map should then move accross the screen as my ride progresses (as it does in f.inst. Google Maps).  Do you know how to solve this problem.  I can get the screen to move like this by hitting the "compass" button on the screen, but it only makes the move for a short moment, then the cursor moves back to the start point.

Hans,

That's the way the app is supposed to work. It always re-arranges the display so that you see both your current position and the upcoming turn so that you can see whats in store ahead. Improved alternate views that look more like the vehicle navigation apps is something that I am considering for future releases.

Just curious, how do you have your Galaxy Tab 7 mounted on your bike?

Hi Geoff.  Your question is right - I do not mount my Tablet on the bike, I use it in the car also when the car is support vehicle for my cycling team and right now I have to use Google Maps for the navigation purpose.   On my bike I have a Garmin GPS, to which I, with some effort, can manually transfer the routes I make in Ride with GPS.  I then use the Cue Sheet to print the turn-by-turn guides.  If you solve the problem with the navigation function, so the cursor functions similar to the way Googe Maps works, then I will use a smaller smartphone on my bike (we have mounts here for that purpose).

Hans,
The support vehicle role is something that I hadn't envisioned for the CueSheet app. Thanks for sharing that use case. I'll put the "Google Maps style" navigation on the ever growing list of enhancements.

Geoff - Thanks.  Looking forward to using this function when implemented.  Guess I will have to monitor developments here or will you email members of this group also?

Hi Geoff,

Saw the comment/guidelines posted by Google on Google Play and can see that the current solution to the problem is to have both CueSheet (open with navigation on the desired route downloaded from Ride with GPS) and Google Maps (open on the route made in Google Maps)  open at the same time and using the Cue Sheet for turn directions by voice and the Google Maps to monitor progress on the screen map.  Just tested it and it works, but it is not “smart”, as I will still have to make the routes in both Ride with GPS and in Google Maps.  I am, however, willing to change my grading from 1 star to 3 stars J.

Cheers

Hans

Claus,
That is very odd. I have not had anyone else report that their GPS Icon is stuck in the manner that you described in the review. I'm glad you found a work around. If I get my hands on a Galaxy Tab 7 I'll have to see what it does. Thank you for reducing the impact on my rating.
