We’re in Las Vegas for the Eagles at the Sphere (thanks, Tina, for the recommendation). But will our flight back Sunday be canceled? If it is, one option is a cheap Allegiant flight to Eugene OR to spend some time with my sister before we head back east.

Be safe, everybody. Richmond and Charlotte are on the hit list as of today’s forecast.

Hi Paul - have fun. The show is spectacular! I an in Sarasota Fla for a few days for a conference ending tonight. Delta kept texting emailing that my flight wasn’t reliable- so I am renting a car and driving to Orlando to see my nephew and his family.

Now the potential severity of this is hitting me - and it feels strange to think about not being home to be with Chris to “take care of things”

Everyone be safe.

Tina

Christina, Do you follow the North Carolina Weather Authority?  He says that the Raleigh area will not get much stuff as it is in ‘a dry slot’ whatever that is. Margo

Margo - I had never followed the NC Weather authority and am now following it.

As far as "not much" we got somewhere between 7-10 inches depending upon the source.

It was very strange. My daughter and other friends were in bands in the next 40 miles that got a light dusting only.

Of course, in NC this is a major weather event. I have enjoyed it. We walked on the golf course and got in the hot tub to enjoy the snow coming down. More later.

Christina, Here is Bailie Baby Dog ready for her sun bath.  Ours has mostly melted although some of the roads are still icy.  I will venture out tomorrow.  I am glad you got home.  My daughter was in the snow bomb in Atlantic Beach.  Her well water froze but is now thawed out.  Margo

Margo - Bailie Baby Dog appears to be a noble friend with a love of snow! Hope all is still well. Our roads are slowly thawing out. We are so fortunate that all the infrastructure
held up. I don't take these things for granted anymore. Glad your daughter's water thawed out.

So far our biggest issue is that the squirrels are eating the bird feed. But I have a cardinal also in view as well.

All, be safe.

Cheers, Tina

Like you Tina we in Oxford, MS are making the best of a rare snow/ice occurrence. It is clear on most driveways & roads now. Kroger is doing a land office business!

2. May you all get your hot water back on
3. Paul, glad to learn you went to only the Eagles Show in Vegas & not any of those scantily dressed side shows😇
4. I’ll send a picture of my Birdfeeder that my daughter, Ashlea got for me…birds only,,, doesn’t work for squirrels

Christine, Bailie Baby Dog is noble.  She is also a Great Pyrenees which means she has her own plan.  She is a watcher dog and watches to earn her keep. No-one approaches the house without her announcement.  She speaks French and occasionally answers to a call.  She holds a grudge so you must never speak unkindly to her.

David, I did not name her as she was a neighbor’s dog who came to me after a house fire.  She decided to stay as I could be depended upon for Salmon jerky chips.  She became baby dog because I had a doberman once named Buddy Holley Baby Dog, and to honor the former baby dog and delete the former owner, I added to her name.  She is lovely and can be charming.
