Happy Birthday, Linda,
How is Billy doing? Does anyone call him Billy anymore?
By pure coincidence I’m going down to visit another Craddock family this weekend – Dr. Hill Craddock of the Univ. of TN at Chattanooga. He’s been a chestnut colleague and friend for 23 years. His family is originally from Kentucky, and his grandfather was a physician in Louisville. I’ve attached a recent photo of him, his Italian-born wife Paola Zannini, and their son Marco Emilio Edoardo Craddock (how’s that for a mouthful!), who is doing graduate work in architecture at the Univ. of Washington in Seattle. Hill and Emilio built all that stonework in the background, using massive limestone blocks salvaged from old homes in their Fort Wood neighborhood in Chattanooga.
