Scotland is my favorite destination... other than my recliner.  I believe Edinburgh is among the world's most beautiful capital cities.   Please keep us informed of your experience...  and for your information, a very good, non-tourist oriented kilt tailor is down in Leith, a suburb of Edinburgh on the Firth of Fourth!
