Lloyd McDougal III Obituary
Lloyd Clayton McDougal III, "Mac" was born in Memphis on July 7, 1947 and passed away on November 16, 2024 <not sure if this is a typo> in Holly Springs, MS.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Weeks McDougal, and his parents Lloyd Clayton McDougal Jr. and Carolyn Barner McDougal.
Mac was a proud graduate of Central High School and Memphis State University. After earning his law degree from Memphis State, he went into practice with colleagues to serve the citizens of his hometown. His service yielded many friends and ultimately turned his path to coaching and teaching. An avid reader and consummate storyteller, he spent the best part of his life with his better half, Nancy, in their antebellum home in Holly Springs, MS.
Mac often relished in living in a home older than himself and feeling younger just upon entering.
He left this world peacefully from that home, with his wife and daughter at his side. He is survived by his wife Nancy Steadman McDougal <CHS ‘64> and his daughter Jennifer McDougal.
A Memorial will be held for Mac at The Lord's Chapel at Elmwood Cemetery, Saturday, October 25th at 12pm.
