Hello everyone,

I remind you that all dens meet this Monday night, September 17th, except our Tigers (1st graders).  We will see the rest of you at 7:00 p.m. in the main lobby of Christ Community Church (just inside the main entrance closest to Hillsboro Rd) for our "opening ceremony" (where the boys line up by den and we start with the Scout promise, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a prayer) before a few announcements are made and the boys then break off for their den meetings.

Several of us leaders will be milling about or stationed at the desk just inside the hallway off the main lobby down which all the classrooms for our den meetings are.  So, if you have any questions or to pick up or drop of forms, just come to that desk or look for one of us in a brown Scout shirt.  And particularly for those of you who did not have all of the necessary items last Monday night (health form and/or insurance card, payment, talent survey, and even in at least a few cases, the new Scout application), please be sure to bring your missing items this Monday night to complete the registration process for your Scout.

I also remind you about our upcoming Cub and Family campout the weekend of October 5-7 at Boxwell Scout Reservation about an hour east of Nashville.  For our returning families, please register at www.cubpack14.com by no later than October 1st.  We are still working on getting our new Scouts entered in the Pack database and website so that you can get your user name set up and be able to register for events like Cub and Family on-line.  For now, while you don't have access, just e-mail with any questions or to let us know for sure that you are coming (and if so, how many).

Meanwhile, continue those popcorn sales!!!  We should get an update on Monday from Kernel Whitehead and/or from Paul Quillman about this weekend's "show and sells."  Our Webelos are off this weekend on their Grimes Canoe Base Trip, so we should be hearing about that this Monday night as well.  We're off to a fast start - and not surprisingly ... we are the Pack that goes!

Yours in Scouting,

Jeromye Sartain
