Hello everyone,

We had a great turn-out and time at our Rocket Building Workshop on Saturday morning.  Those who were there are now ready for launch!!!

If you weren't able to attend the Workshop but you already have a rocket built from a prior year or are able to get a kit and put your rocket together by Monday, please come to the Round-up and participate in the launch - we should have plenty of engines, which will be $2 each (cash or check only please).  Again, if you bought a kit at the Workshop, that $5 includes one engine/launch, which you'll receive Monday night.

Remember that each rocket should be identifiable - name, unique decoration, etc. - several rockets are launched at a time and many of those will have been built from the same kit, so we'll need to be able to tell them apart when it's time to retrieve them after launch. :-)

Again, the Rocket Round-up starts at 6:00 p.m. this Monday, August 27th, on the north lawn of Christ Community Church on Hillsboro Road in Franklin.  Even if you don't have a rocket, please join us to watch and have fun.  Be sure to bring a chair or blanket to sit on and maybe some drinks and snacks or even a picnic dinner - note that only water will be provided.

Also, for all our new families, there will be a new parents meeting at 6:45 p.m. inside the building.  The plan is that the new Scouts will launch first so that you can see your boys' rockets fly, and then we'll have the meeting.  This will be a time for us to let you know a little more about the Pack and how you can get plugged in.

See you all on Monday night at the Round-up!
