On my laptop, if i use the usb serial cable, lsmod can see

pl2303 17993 0
usbserial 47077 1 pl2303

so make sure the proper module is inserted on cubieboard.

Please try http://media.romanrm.ru/a10/server/3.0.42-rm6+/ which now includes
both of these modules and also "ax25", "mkiss" and related hamradio stuff as
you requested previously. Note that I did not test this kernel myself yet.

The uImage must be copied on 1st partition uSD ?
