capture_used = 1

But still cannot make it work.

Hi, Anyone can help me with MICIN on Cubietruck?, I cant still make it work. I dont know even where to start, if its a cabling problem or a configuration problema.

I've tried using a microfone and also usin my computer headphone output (as line out) but neither one worked.

I have also a cubieboar and with the command (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/cubieboard/iANvRf9tKlg)
amixer -c 0 cset numid=16 7
I've made it works, but still have no success with Cubietrcuck (same parameter on Cubietruck is:amixer -c 0 cset numid=24 7, but without success

Any idea?
Regards
Martin

Apologies on necro-posting but I'd thought I'd forward what little research I've turned up. If nothing else, it could serve to help someone else grappling w/ the same question. I don't (yet) have a CubieTruck so YMMV:
  • [cubieforums.netCubietruck MICIN not working
    • "In Cubietruck MIC IN is not wired to CN8 expansion port, use LINE IN. Also you'll need to change ALSA settings to make LINE IN input to ADC.  See http://linux-sunxi.org/Audio_Codec" -- Japus, December 26, 2013, 03:31:06 AM
  • [cubieforums.netThe ULTIMATE Newb Cubietruck set-up guide
    • Activating the Headphone / Microphone jack:
      • In terminal type:

        Quote
        linaro@cubietruck:~$ sudo apt-get install alsa-base
        linaro@cubietruck:~$ sudo apt-get install pulseaudio

You’ll see it install or update - depending if it was in before. Hit enter to finish installing when it asks Y/N? The install may take a few minutes.

And then I went to the Synaptic Package Manager: from Start > System Tools > Synaptic Package Manager. Wait for it to load. Click “search” and in the search window type “alsa” (note: I’m sure these can be installed from using “apt-get install” for each one. I have no idea which of these made the audio jack work, but the “Gnome Alsa Mixer” has settings for HDMI: LineL and LineR; the headphone jack: Playback; FmL and FmR; Ldac Left Mixer; Ldac Right Mixer, Rdac Right Mixer. Clicking the correct check box (Playback) activated the audio jack. It will also install a volume icon on the task bar. Now you may easily switch between HDMI/Jack/SPDIF.

Check each and select to install:

        alsa-utils
        alsaplayer-jack
        gnome-alsamixer - very useful
        and / or
        volti

        After you install, reboot.

Anyway, after a month of trying to get help around here with no success, it woks" -- CubieNewb,
