I am trying to get the Ubuntu NAND image installed on my cubieboard.  First I downloaded the SD card image, put it on an sd card and booted in to linaro/ubuntu.  Then right on the cubieboard I downloaded the NAND image.

Then I ran sudo if=cb_a10_nand_ubuntu_desktop_12.04_v1.03.img of=/dev/nand

The image seems to write successfully (no errors given).  But when i reboot without an SD card I still get nothing on the screen.

Anyone else on here have any experience with Ubuntu being installed on to NAND.  My ultimate goal is to get this working and then move the /home to a SD card to have more space and only have the system on the NAND memory.

Woops found a type.  The command I used to write the image to NAND was sudo dd if=cb_a10_nand_ubuntu_desktop_
12.04_v1.03.img of=/dev/nand

That image is meant to be flashed using the livesuit installer, which is also used to install android distributions; it can't be imaged to the nand with "dd".

Is it possible at all to run livesuit windows 8 x64.  I have no access to windows 7 at all.

Don't know. It'll run on Linux 64, though.
