I'd be keen to get some clarifications around the android build too... using the allwinner-ics sources or otherwise :)

Scratch that - I see its a CM10 build.

Any chance of a heads up on the config used ? I could work it out.. but I'm feeling lazy :)

Shall I add a link to that at the Download page at
http://cubieboard.org/download/ ?

What's the difference between that image and the image
http://dl.cubieboard.org/software/cyanogenmod/cubieboard_cm9_beta1.img
found at the download page? Shall we keep both? Or, just the
cubiebox_tvbox_rel1.img one?

Any description for the cubiebox_tvbox_rel1.img image?
If anyone can provide screenshots as well, it would be great.

cubieboard_cm9_beta1.img is built from cyanogenmod tree,
cubiebox_tvbox_rel1.img is built from Allwinner android tv box tree,
which added some features like ir remote support and on screen soft
keyboard. This image has the best support on cubieboard currently.

Thanks.

For the best Android support on the Cubieboard, select the Android TV
Box Allwinner image from the list below. This image has additional
support for IR remote control and an on-screen software keyboard.

Download Android TV Box Allwinner release1 image suitable for
LiveSuit [280MB] (preferred Android image for Cubieboard)

If there are any changes that are required, do tell me.

Hi, i dont have any experience with livesuit but with phoenixcard!

http://tom.linux-sunxi.org/mom/PhoenixCardV306_2012_03_02.zip

download this file on an Windows PC, extract it and make it write your nand image to an Sd-card.
then insert your "Phoenixcard" into your (poweless) cubie , power up ,and wait till the green LED stops flashing. this indicates that the flash process finished.
then unplug power, remove your card and restart Cubie.
i flashed the Cubie-tv image that way and it worked just fine without any extra cables buttons to press or drivers to install.

Regards, Martin

Hi,
I tried the Live suite downloadable from the cubieboard site on a windows xp, but it did not work and I was not able to install the image provided.
I have installed the usb driver that came with LiveSuite, but when I press SysUpdate I get the error message "No device that need to update".
I tried connecting the board with and wothout the FEL button pressed. The driver of the LiveSuite works only when I connect the board with the FEL button pressed, and in the other case
I get the Android periferalwith the exclamation mark because no working drivers are found.

I than tried the phoenixcard suggested by Martin, but the only thing I get is "Card preprocess Failed!497"

Maybe am I missing something obvious?

I also had similar issues, all related to drivers. I posted a note in another messages. If it is possible get ubuntu 11.04 on a usb and boot from it and follow the instructions for Livesuit that is for Linux, it worked like a charm. I am here to answer any question related to it.

Had to use 64bit Ubunutu and went with v12.04.  Have successfully loaded images via LiveSuit that was compiled for 64bit Linux.

Pheonixcard might work instead of LiveSuit, but all the documentation is in Chinese (simplified version). I suppose that one could muddle through the Chinese with Google Translate and cut and paste.

Hi,
There is really no need to understand Chinese when using Phoenix card! (I am from Germany and cannot even tell what language it uses! :))
The program is intuitive to use, and almost explains itself. It took me about five minutes from starting until i could write the new android image to my cubieboard.
The worst thing that can happen is that nothing happens at all. In this case just try again. Just make sure on your sdcard is nothing you need for it is definitely lost afterwards.

Tom

I bought a Cubie2, I loaded our apk for iptv streaming, for some streams player OK, for other streams of ours it has issues.
We use HLS streaming.
I am getting this error...

---------------------------------------------'
E/alsa_pcm( 6360): wait error: hw 0x1d7480 app 0x1d7480 avail 0x40
E/audio_hw_primary( 6360): ##############out_write()  Warning:write fail#################  card=1
W/audio_hw_primary( 6360): ##############out_write()  Warning:write fail#######################
---------------------------------------------------
When this happens audio is stalling.

I have included complete logcat.

I upgraded to 1.21 sdk.

Please help.
