I have a cubex running cubeitmod4.5, I am using Octave white ABS,some prints are beautiful with the settings that are already set per the install, and some prints I think are to hot for it. I just printed an object and the cubex stopped printing and gave me an error 14 which it was to hot. can any one tell me what is a good temp to set for ABS to meet max heating point to print. my material setting is at main 260
first layer 270
keep warm 150
bed 0
Thank you. thank you, thank you if any one can help.

Hi Diane,
go into the PJ-Con menu on the printer, set the temperature to 260, when the hot end reaches the temperature set the RPM to something like 3.0 or 3.5 or 4.0.
The filament is extruded and you should not ear clicking, that means the printer can correctly extrude the filament with that temperature, then set the temperature a little lower, if there are no clicking is OK.
Continue like that until you reaches the temperature that produces some clicking, the right temperature for your filament should be set a little higher than this.
This is the first test, it gives you an idea of the temperature you can set for your filament.
After doing this print some parts and look if you have a good adhesion between the layers, if not you have to set the temperature a little higher.

Install Cubeitmod V4.8, you'll find the file into the first post of the Cubeitmod V4.5 thread, this will not help you with this problem but the V4.8 contains some improvements.
