Dear Giovanni,

a wrote a lot of your articles to cubeitmod at kisslicer refuge camp, bot now this Forum is closed !? , for this reason I try to ask you on this way.

A short description of what I want/Needs (sorry my english is not perfect):
We are Producer of plastic bottles (5 ml - 1000 ml)for cosmetic, househould and bodycare , etc. We also develop new bottle designs. One year ago I bougth a CubeX Trio Printer in order to print some new bottle designs.
Till today I used the original Cubex material cartriges ABS/PLA and the cubex Software for printing.
The whole time the qualtiy of the printing results was more or less not satisfactory (from design to desgin i had sometimes big differences in Quality and i don´t know why, because it´s not possible to change so many Parameters at the cubex Software) I don´t like the seam at the outersite of the bodys and I don´t understand why the nozzle only can make a way of 360° and than go back.
And i don´t like the double wall (fyi : ideally I could print the mockups with a wallthicknes of 1,5-2 mm)
However now I want to get a new much more better Quality of the "printed bottles" by using kisslicer in combination with cubeitmod.
I made my first experiments on the Basis of your guidance (kisslicer refuge camp).
I use Printer Cubex trio V1.07, kisslicer 1.4.5.10 (no pro)and cubeitmod V48.

I try to make my first slice and wanted to save it: The result was the following message:
"running the post process command:
cubeitmod.exe "C:users\.......
failed, returning 1 "

I´m not a computer expert, maybe you know what could be wrong.

The error is in the printer tab, postprocessor, check the name you write

Is this not correct ?

this is correct :

cubeitmod.exe "<FILE>"

 

and the file Cubeitmod.exe must be present into the Kisslicer directory.

But, why don't you copy the ini files into the Kisslicer directory ?

If you do it, all these settings are already done.

However I installed all Software new and now it works, I can save files, but if i want to print, the Printer stops after one second with the message ; FILE READ ERROR, File line: 24 , or although File line: 1

An other curios : When I open a stl file (I tried with more than one) with kisslicer there were also appear a second object, it´s a purple solid cylinder.

Maybe this is the problem of the Printer ?

I tried several times to replacing Cubeitmod V4.8 with V4.9 and had no luck. Tried the new .ini files and my old .ini files and same with the .au3 file, the .po file, CubeItMod.exe and CubeItMod491.exe all files posted on Refugee Camp forum. I keep getting the same result below. Not sure what I'm doing wrong cause V4.8 works terrific. Any help would be appreciated. Running Win7, KISSlicer64_1.4.5.5 with Pro license.

Hi Matt,

check the file name, do you have the file cubeitmod491.exe into your Kisslicer folder ?

The file name must be the same into Kisslcier-> Printer Tab->Firmware Tab-> Post-Process

The purple cylinder is into Kisslicer->Support->Pillar

Post here the bfb that causes the error into the printer.

Check for typo errors into Kisslicer and into the file name :

cubeitmod

       ^ that's an i can be mistaken with L

Double click on cubeitmod491.exe and check if you can run it by that way.

LOL!  I'm an idiot.  I figured out the problem, I keep a copy of all my files on the network drives at work, just in case.  I was updating those and not the ones on my local drive, which is where KISSlicer is looking.  Works great now.  Thanks for all your help!

Ok the purple cylinder now is gone, but I´ve still furthermore the sam Problems,
I tried a lot of other adjustments at klisslicer, but the possibility to make something wrong is sooo big.
How can I here post a bfb file ??

Ok. Thanks now it´s possible.Please find attached two simple examples , The printer stops directly after printstart. Maybe Z-Axe is not correct ?

On my printer, Drucktest2 prints correctly, the problem is not into the file.

Do you have a code error when the printer stops ?

What's the firmware in your printer ?

I got the following code error from the Printer:

FILE READ ERROR, File line: 24 , or although File line: 1 or File line : 25

My Firmware is V1.07

(Often the printer goes into pause before printing, when I resume the print then it works)

Try to change the USB stick.

You have a problem with the USB key or with the printer.

I had the KISSlicer and cubeitmod on my pc and they're great,  but now I've got a mac I can't seem to get them working together. The link for a mac download is also missing on the cubexupgrade site, so I'm not sure if I'm missing any files or have not renamed something I should have e.t.c.

Could someone be a great help and send me the link to the specific files and also the instructions for loading them for the latest version that will run on KISSlicer 1.4.5.10 on OS X Yosemite, I've tried downloading them from the old kisslicer refugee forum but I'm obviously doing something wrong.

You will need to extract the CubeItNet.app file and put it in the KISSlicer directory.

Then go to the printer tab and set the post process path:

Hi Giovanni,

now I got the message : "Failed returning 1 ". I did not make any modifications at the Settings Some STL files work and some not with the same settings. I tried to save it on a stick or on hard disc, alway the same problem.  Do you have an idea ? What could be the Problem ?

Hey, I getting this error too but as a workaround, simply run the CubeItMod491.exe manually, open the *.bfb file just created and it's going to do it's magic.

probably a pathing issue or something on my windows install.

Again, I would liek to fix the meessage but at the same time, don't sit there not printing- use the workaround and simply manually run Cubeit to mod the BFB file.

Hello again Giovanni! It has been a while since I have checking in with this group so I don't recall if this has been answered already but I was wondering if this also works with the Duo and Trio versions.

I'm loving it with my Cube X but I am thinking about adding a Duo if this mod is applicable to the dual extruders.
