Cubify Invent won't install on fresh Win 7 or Win 8 systems both meet the software requirements

Gee why am I not surprised?

Invent WON'T install on a Windows 8 or Windows 7 machine. Both meet the software requirements.

It fails EVERY TIME on "Windows Features" dialog.

The following feature couldn't be installed:
.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)

Windows couldn't connect to the internet to download necessary files. Make sure that you're connected to the internet and click "Retry" to try again.

Error code: 0x800F0906

I am connected to the internet the entire time.

Any one else have this problem and have a solution? Or is it just my "3DS Curse". Definitely the worst tech purchase I've ever made, by far.

I only ask here since tech support isn't very supportive. I will get a response here and get it fixed before 3DS' exchange server can get the mail delivered internally.

Are there multiple installers?
Are you using the MSI or the setup.exe?
I'm running Windows 7 and it installs OK.
Are you installing from the USB drive?
It may be corrupt.
You can download the Invent installer from the Cubex website.
You can use your license key on it after it installs.

You can also download and install the .net framework directly from the microsoft website and then try installing invent again. I would recommend rebooting after installing the .net framework and before re-installing invent.

Manually installing the .NET framework seemed to work, thanks.
