Greetings,
I'm a new user to 3d printing and purchased a Cubex Duo. I got the general jist of using it, without much hassle except the quality wasn't as good as hoped.
Yesterday i saw a post talking about Kisslicer and went about using it according to the post. (I used the information from a user named lawrence showing that by augmenting
the PTR G-Code, you bypass the cubeit necessity. The quality is astounding by comparison. Pardon the nude example, but that seemed like a great test with it's organic nature.
My question is this; Until I acquired Kisslicer yesterday, I had used cubex software 1.08 (osx), which is very dumbed down. With Kisslicer, as much as I'm happy how well it works, the spectrum of parameters in it came as a pleasant surprise, except I don't know which parameters to pay attention to in terms of adjustments.
I'm a veteran 3d modeler and animator so i'm confident i'll get the hang of it.
My question is this. I can't for the life of me find any information or sites that go into any detail about temp. model prepping from say c4d etc. Basically from modeling to print.
Also, are there any programs that show a previz of sorts of how it will print? So to find any issues before actually printing. I saw a program called pleasant3d which claims to show a preview, but
I can't get the software to run on OSX Mavericks.
Any information would be most helpful. This forum has been a godsend. Cheers,
Shaun
