Hi all Cube-x users,
I'm a Cube-x Duo user, as many of you I've been totally unsatisfied with the quality of printing and as you know the reason of that is the software released by 3Dsystem.
I run into Kisslicer, and immediately the quality of printing improved.
I know that Kisslicer is no more supported ( at the moment that's the situation )
but is a really good slicer and is so much better than Cubex that it doesn't need to be modified.
Kisslicer needs a post processor to adapt the standard code it produces to a code that can be read by a Cube-x printer.
Evanery did a great job, he wrote the CubeIt post processor and I've used it, the print quality was quite good but can still be improved.
I analysed the situation : the hardware is quite good, the slicer is excellent the only weak point is the post-processor.
I decided to go into programming and I made some changes into the post-processor.
Here you can find it :

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/kisslicer-refugee-camp/vHrC7Z6lbY0

The forum requires subscription.

Some other users have already used it and they give positive feed back, the print quality made another step forward.
Now I think it's very important that a lot of people use it and share they experience to further more improve the post-processor.
The key to achieve good print quality is the post-processor and fine tune some parameters into Kisslicer.

Waiting for your feed back.
Best regards.

Giovanni

Hi everybody !

A new version of cubeitmod is available.

From the Giovanni post on Kisslicer forum :
...Now every line into the solid is calculated differently and you'll have an automatic big correction for small lines and an automatic adjustment with low correction for longer lines. ( you'll notice the speed of the motor will change while printing a flat surface).
This will help obtain good surfaces on parts with both large and small flat horizontal surfaces.
Solid% can still be used to tweak the correction, if you set 100 = no tweak, if you set less than 100 less material will be printed on very small flat surfaces, if you set more than 100 more material will be printed on very small surfaces....

This is some tests print i made before the public release.

And Cubeitmod is working with KS 1.5 in multicolors print.
