This group has been very useful for me in experimenting with the CubeX Duo which I received last week. I would like to thank everyone in this group for sharing their valuable experiences and tips.
Since the day I received the printer I have been doubtful about the alignment of the print pad.
The CubeX user guide mentions that when the print pad is properly installed, the magnet will lock it in place.
In my case, I do not see the print pad being locked in place by the magnet (because the print plate base is Aluminum). In order to check if the pad is locked, I tried pushing the pad from the top at the front left corner and I see that the pad wiggles across the diagonal very easily.
I have been seeing very bad surface finishes on the parts that I printed and hence was wondering if the print pad is contributing to the bad surface finish. Did anyone else have the same issue with the print pad? Is the magnet really helping in keeping the pad in place?
Any comments on this post would be greatly appreciated.

The print bed will have a little play in it. There are rubber feet on the back corners that keep it more or less stable,
But pressing on it will make it wobble.
The print heads do not press into the board, so they will not rock it while printing.
Make sure the print bed fits snugly against the plastic bar at the front of the aluminum base.
If it doesn't, you can loosen the screws on the front bar and move the plastic bar back and forth until it is a snug fit.
If the plastic bar is not snug, the print platform can move during printing.
If it is still wobbly, check the Z-axis motor mounts. They may be loose and make the print bed wobble during printing.
