This is based on one of the examples from Aaron Liddiment's RGBLeds library (https://github.com/AaronLiddiment/RGBLEDS/). I use his code to fill an 8x8 input frame on the front face of the cube and then copy it backwards through the other 8 layers to create depth.

It's really a shame the FastLED library (which RGBLeds uses) hasn't been ported to support spark yet. RGBLeds also has a text marquee feature.

This looks really good, btw.

Thanks. Mark has told me that he intends to port the FastLED to Spark. It's just a question of when.
