Yo people! Have been playing around with the Cube for some time now and I have had a lot of fun trying out different codes from the gallery. Gonna send the 3D Tetris next to my Cube next since it's just so cool. Though, feeling increasing guilty every time I send a new code to my Cube since a noobie coder like myself is very unlikely to come up with something as awesome to give back to the community... So, here's my tribute:

I've drawn up a clip-on diffusing cap that goes onto the LED strips to give better side-way and back-side viewability. The test parts were printed from a Chinese vendor with some random SLA printer. Of the two different fitting tolerances I've tried, this worked just perfectly on my Cube. I've also tried using white and transparent printing material and the white ones seem to diffuse better.

For reference, I've also priced out the 512-cap 3D printer friendly version of such cap in Shapeways and i-materialise and here's the pricing:
197 USD for Strong & Flexible (Nylon) by Shapeways;
99.85 € for Sandstone by i-materialise;  <- I am less confident in it since it looks brittle
159.20 € for Polyamide by i-materialise

I rather not post of a link to my shop since it's rather costly and that I've not tested out the design by their printers yet. For those who already have an SLA 3D  printer though, feel free to make use of the files in this dropbox link and give it a try! The 512 caps were connected by just a bit and shall (I guess) come off well once printed.
