Cubes just arrived one works OK while other will only play back half of light unless you give it a tap several times

Its annoying as hell, i even hard reset it and connected it to my laptop. What can i do? i dont want to tap it i fear it could break the cube if it didnt come broken to begin with. 

Everything it pieced correctly..... HELP

There might be a problem with the socket soldering underneath the board.

Hi JTG -- can you take a photo of the underside of your Cube?  I'll be able to determine whether there is an issue w/ the soldering of your baseboard then and can get you a replacement asap if so.
