Thanks for your interest in Cubert!
Over the past several weeks we were investigating the decision between supporting Tez or Spark with Cubert. Our criteria was to select a framework that allows flexibility to implement new algorithms (graph joins etc), and is most suitable with the current users of Cubert.
Our plan is to support Spark in the immediate future; and the next releases will use the Spark engine for some of the prominent operators in Cubert (CUBE, Blockgen etc). We are still planning on delivery timelines, and will be announcing the plan on this group.
Please feel free to reach out with feedback on the current MapReduce based Cuber or the upcoming Spark-based.
