usage of Cube without MongoDB

I am new to this scientific field and I want to know if its possible to use Cube with OpenTSDB.

I am not aware of anyone using cube with a database that is not MongoDB. The code is fairly tightly coupled and attracting adapters for different data stores would be a significant effort. 

You can probably achieve what you want with OpenTSDB queries and aggregators directly. Is there a particular Cube feature you're looking for?
