I think they switched to cubism (https://github.com/square/cubism) and graphite (http://graphite.wikidot.com/)

Subject: Is Cube still being actively developer?

Hi,

I'm just wondering if Cube is still being actively worked on?

The last update hasn't been for nearly half a year, and I haven't heard any talk about roadmaps or release plans, either here or elsewhere.

Just wondering if anybody's heard anything? =). It's a fantastic piece of work, and I would love to use it for a current project - I just want to see if it's active =).

Cheers,
Victor

Cubism works with Cube as well as Graphite. We didn't switch from one
to the other; we created Cubism to decouple metrics calculation from
visualization.

I can't speak to whether other people at Square (or elsewhere) are
actively developing with Cube. I'm not currently working on it, as I
am focusing on D3, but I might revisit it in the future.

Hi,

I think the decoupling is a good thing, and definitely increases the versatility of both tools.

And awesome work on D3.js as well =).

However, it's a shame that Cube got pushed aside, as I thought it's quite a nifty tool - there's several pull requests on Github, and quite a bit of traffic on the Issues board, so there's definitely people interested in the project. Still, holding out hope it could get revisited =). All the best!

Cheers,
Victor

Hah, I brought the same question upon github before finding this. https://github.com/square/cube/issues/109

I'm going to wait for Tom Carden to get back with the spec on the future of cubism.  There is a lot of interest out there for the library, so I'm certain I (and others) can move forward with a growing project (instead of a dead one).

If cube scraps the project, we can discuss an official fork elsewhere... I'd like mark the current version and move on to the next with community involvement.
