We now have an initial install document that has the instructions on how to build ROS from source.  We also have had 1 person build the tree and created a .iso image to be installed on an SD card for use.  The link to the .iso file is also in the build instructions at the beginning so that you will not have to read everything and then find the easy part at the end.  I am working with a developer at Willow Garage to arrange to have them host all the .deb files that are needed to fully install ROS on a Rpi.  The instruction will be available from the same source when we get that part done.   Select the Raspbian link for the instructions.

Hey, Bob
Just finished reading through the Wiki Page, that's a lot of troubleshooting!!
I'm glad someone has the persistence and the Linux/Coding knowledge to follow through on that.

I'll take a shot at getting "groovy" on the BeagleBone - keeping in mind "fuerte" was install-able from packages, and either way the goal is the ISO/Flash Image...

Also I have not actually tested the 'Bone yet for functionality either...

James - the work that I and others are doing is so that ROS will be supported on ARM processors.  The instructions for loading from source is the first step with getting downloadable binaries for all the packages that support ROS.  All the work is now being directed to the ros-sig-arm mailing list so that all of the arm people have a common meeting point for transfering info on what they have done.

James - It seems that we have been able to involve Willow Garage in the effort for ROS on ARM.  There is a sig group that is now involved with this.
ros-sig-arm is the group and that appears to be our single point of contact that will work for all of us.
