A minor revolution

This post is about Wikipedia.

I put CubeSpawn in the Wikipedia a couple years ago.

Within a few weeks the Wiki "Thought Police" swooped in and deleted my little 300 word mention of the project

I modeled it after the RepRap's mention assuming that would be a good way for people to see that here was another open source project aimed at making thier open source manufacturing life easier.

but I commited an unforgivable Sin in the process

I used the account name "CubeSpawn" which some asshole deemed was a conflict with the Wiki's rules.

I was told that I could create another account with a different name and it would all-be-just-fine.

This is precisely the kind of bureaucratic thinking that inspires me to plan a minor revolution - somebody email Che Guevara!!!

(actually I met some distant niece of his - as a co-worker, here in San Antonio - small world!!)

So if your so inclined - I pass the torch to whomever will take it to add or expand mention of CubeSpawn on Wikipedia - I can't get excited about interacting with the political turds again - but i think this project merits mention...
