Here is a link to a new kickstarter project.  It has the linear mech inbedded into the support structure.

I have thrown some money on this project myself and wait the see what comes of it.

Cool! Too bad they don't seem to have released the designs of the v
slot. But maybe they will if it is funded....?

They do have the dual v wheels available

 Thanks Robert!

I backed "MakerSlide" for similar reasons, but never received any product

these systems are becoming pretty widely available, and TGP chromed rod is specc'd high enough to build a nice system with v wheels and rod...

Theirs seems less flexible. Ask Amazon to reverse the charge and spend it on v-slot.

Send Bart an email and explain the problem.  I did and he came thru with the materials.  I originally told him to hold on because I did not know what sizes I needed and then forgot to tell him to send them later.  He did.

I have received my materials from the openbuilds kickstarter.  It is hot.  Not only is it the rails for my nest project BUT it is also the structure.  One of my next project is to build a 4'x4' cnc router system that will have a build volume of 4 foot by 4 foot by 1 foot.  The rails will be from 20mmx80mm build structure.  And if the x axis wants to wobble any at all then 2 rails and 3/16" steel between for a fletch beam and damn the weight.

They have now expanded the line of their products to include corner blocks at a reasonable price.  AND their corner blocks will fit any size extrusion and can also be made on a 3d printer:

Very Cool!
I have been working on Cubespawn full time this last couple weeks but I haven't been online much more than to look stuff up or check email - I'll update soon, big progress!! the 3d printer cube has undergone a re-design and is a contender to be running in 2 weeks or less - finally! and the mill cube is being re-built as an installable module - I should have pix up next week....

By listening to some biologist email lists I stumbled on this
neuro-lash-up remote controllable:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/backyardbrains/the-roboroach-control-a-living-insect-from-your-sm?ref=category

and the comments about that, ("Horrifying!", etc.), led to
some free open robot code that could apply to cubespawn/makercube
modules:
