The Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society has activated its disaster fund and is appealing to citizens to donate cash.

A disaster relief account was set up at Republic Bank as part the Red Cross effort to raise US$5 million to aid the people of Haiti.

Donations can be made at any branch of Republic Bank. The account number is 180482517101
