Scouting For Food Reports

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 26th Annual Scouting For Food a huge success!

The next step is to report your unit totals. If you have not already done so, please go  to www.BoyScouts-NCAC.org/SFF and complete the report form. Getting a fast, accurate report will help us collect even more food next year.


Champions of Character – Dec 1

WHEN: December 1, 2012

WHAT: Join us as we recognize Whitney M. Young Award recipients LTC Michael Files and Harry E. Johnson, Sr. for their dedication to increasing the diversity of our Scouting family. LTC Files will also be the keynote speaker for the evening. An Eagle Scout and Cubmaster for the Scoutreach program, he recently returned from serving a year with the US Navy Contingent supporting the UN Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) and will speak about the challenges and reward of sharing the spirit of Scouting overseas.

Eagles on the Hill: A Celebration of Service – Dec 5

WHEN: 5-7 pm / Wednesday, Dec 5, 2012
WHERE: Rayburn Building Room B-354 Washington, DC
WHAT: Pay tribute to the notable Eagle Scouts who serve in Congress at NCAC’s Gathering of Eagles reception with light refreshments, hosted by Distinguished Eagle Scout Texas Representative Pete Sessions. All Congressional Eagle Scouts will be invited and we will wish a fond farewell to Eagle Scouts Sen. Richard Lugar (IN) and Sen. Ben Nelson (NE), who are finishing their last terms in Congress. 
Sen. Jeff Bingaman (NM) has also been invited.

The event cost is $30 per person, which includes a signed copy of Four Percent: The Story of Uncommon Youth in a Century of American Life, written by award-winning author Michael Malone, an Eagle Scout and Forbes Magazine staff writer.
