We continue to keep our charges low, and this is only possible because of our dedicated volunteers handling the workload, and our patrons sponsoring various items related to the festival. Please let us know if you want to help us out by volunteering. We are also seeking participants for the cultural events, and patrons for Puja sponsorship.

Nazarbandh/Captive is a much-lauded film that was Official Selection and World Premiere at the 25th Busan International Film Festival, 2020. It was screened at the London Indian Film Festival (2021), NYIFF New York, Asian Film Festival Barcelona, 2021, Florence Indian Film Festival 2021 (Winner of the Audience Award for Feature Film) and had a special screening at Kolkata International Film Festival. It is going to be the opening film at the 2022 Litfilms Festival at Munster, Germany.
About the Director
Suman Mukhopadhyay has directed several full-length feature films: Nazarband (2020); Posham Pa (2019); Asamapta (2017); Shesher Kobita (2014); Kangal Malsat, (2013); Mahanagar@Kolkata (2009); Chaturanga (2008) and Herbert (2005) which won the National Award for Best Regional Film that year. He has won awards in various national and international film festivals including Montreal, Dubai, Munich, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Zanzibar, Sao Paolo, Detroit, Kerala, Kolkata, Pune, Los Angeles , New York, and Melbourne. Suman has also made a number of documentaries, TV series, short films and cine-plays. He was conferred with a script development award from Motion Picture Association, USA and Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Brisbane in 2017.
