Hey everybody,
The application actually wasn't too hard and I was
able to write up a draft tonight. If you don't mind taking a look at
it, I'd welcome any feedback you have. A few notes:
1. The
officers are temporary, I just needed to put some people down. We
should discuss how we want it to work, but I'd be happy with the vaguely
leaderless nature of SSD as a model. Peter suggested the we have a
Executive Board and that we are all on it, as another option. In any
case, I'm not appointing anyone to anything, just need it for the
paperwork.
2. In our budget, I asked for $200 to print fliers, but I really
have no idea how much putting fliers up all over campus costs. Anyone
have a guess?
3. Are there other things we want to get funding
for? Is $4000 in the right ballpark? One thing to keep in mind is that
this is for all of the 2012-2013 academic year, not just one semester.
4. Take a look at the bylaws, particularly the disclaimer about
hackers (Art II, Sec 2) because it's important that we do that right.
5.
I made up the terms "qualified" and "unqualified" members for the CU
club members who have gained membership to SSD and for those who
haven't, respectively. But I really don't like the adjectives; I just
couldn't think of something more appropriate. Any suggestions?
