Photos of Jing

I uploaded some photos of Jing. They can be viewed in “files.” The
pictures were taken by my friend Peter Li during a trip we made in
2008 with Jing and Tyler Corson-Rikert to the Dragon Boat Festival in
Denver.

In one of the photos Jing is holding a stuffed 熊猫 that she purchased
at the festival to help support panda preservation in Sichuan. If
you’re having trouble coping with what happened (I certainly am), it
might help to know that at least Jing was in one of the most beautiful
places in China and doing something she loved—going on an adventure in
a new and wild place and enjoying nature—when she was taken from us.

It is not easy for me to look at those pictures because they remind me
that I’ll never go to another Dragon Boat Festival with Jing. But I
also feel happy when I look at them because I see her smile and I
remember how much joy she brought to so many people when she was with
us.
