Where is the line between personal choice and public safety? What percentage of the population needs to be vaccinated to protect against outbreaks of what we think of as long forgotten diseases? Should parents be able to opt out of vaccination for their children, setting aside the risks of acquiring diseases like measles and HPV, or is the danger to the community too great to risk? How safe are vaccinations, and what do we know about their long-term effects? Immunization is an issue that affects all of us, from those that are worried about the health risks of vaccinations to those who are worried about the threat to community protection if more people remain unvaccinated. How do we reconcile the two? To answer these questions and yours, join us!
