New Link to KM-Airwolf collection

Hi.

 

I am starting a collection for a link between Cheaptrick and KM-Airworlf, if this link is not possible, we will have to try  make the link from another node, we will budget this link based on 2xRB912(Basebox5) and 2xdp dish, but the plan is to actually buy 2xNetbox5 when they become available to make this an ac link.

I have just over R100 still left from the Lurker Sector, and R300 collected at the area meeting.

Any further donations can be dropped at Mark, or EFT to me (I will provide my bank details again if needed.

 

I’m not going to do the pledge thing like last time, just make the donation, and I will send the email showing who donated what. (unless you are donating a piece of equipment, then let me know so I can recalculate)

Hi

Firstly, I pledge R150 towards the project, which I will pay on next payday.

I was unable to attend the meeting, so just one quick question. Does this proposed link benefit only Bothasig clients, or will Richwood / Tableview / Parklands clients benefit as well?

Reason I ask is: I'm not sure whether this group includes the clients in those areas, but if it doesn't, and if they stand to benefit from the upgrade as well, maybe we could expand the request for funding.

Good luck getting Westcoast area to donate that area  is dead and basically no one there is active wuggers.  It is true that they will definitely benefit from any link that bothasig get out because they have no other links.

But you guys are always welcome to email each client in that area via wind who knows maybe you get lucky.

Evening all 

Myself ,Wolf, Spotpro and weasel spend some time Saturday turning a 31dbi with a HN card  towards Bothasig, the prelimary results does not look bad. Picking up fly-pro99 -71, cheaptrick -74 and dave morley at -64. So it looks more than good the grid on airwolf has to be alingned more as soon as you guys start point dishes more directly airwolf the signals could even go into the 50's. 

When it happens that Bothasig gets a dedicated link to airwolf we will have mount that dish on a separate pole the power and ethernet cable is already in place.

Sadly I wont be able to donate because I will be moving to  node ogontest  and will need all my cash to try and connect back to nextlevel(over the spar and the primary school).
