meeting at Umlaf's Sculpture Garden. They were very nice and said they
thought we might be able to use there space, but their lowest use
price started at $200 for 4 hours. So I did not follow up on that
thought any further.
Today my contact there sent me this e-mail and I thougt it was
interesting also, but probably not a great match for us. (No air
conditioning.) But I thought many of you might like to hear about this
place.

Hi Gail,
As an artist member of several groups, I completely understand budget
issues. Since Umlauf will not work out, maybe check out Pump Project
Art Complex (which is where I have a painting studio) in East
Austin.... we have a new Satellite location with a large flex space,
for classes and events, that is being finished out this week. My
boyfriend, a fellow artist, is managing that space and he and/or the
manager of the main Pump Project space have been starting to rent it
out to groups for their own use. Since it's still new, we don't have
set rates and are fairly flexible. The website for both Pump Project
