Gail,

You all have done a great job researching the Hancock Rec. Center etc.
Wish I had a suggested place we could consider but the only one I can think
of is when we met a few years ago in the building on Justin Lane. It was a
good room to meet in etc. but I think there were other reasons it was not
desirable.

I'll be happy to meet if a group wants to get together and brainstorm.

Shirley

I accidentaly deleted this post, so I'm re-posting it:

HI,

My name is Benson Crowell and I will be a new comer to the group. I
think that you can still call yourself a non profit even though you
are not a non profit corporation. I believe AA is a non profit and
they go to great lengths not to have officers or a structure that
would make them qualified as a non profit group by the government and
yet they are still treated as a non profit organization because they
don't collect money, their meetings are open to the public, and nobody
gets paid a cent. Based on that we should be able to make a case to
the city to use the space for free as a non profit.

Looking forward to meeting everyone at the next meeting.

Benson Crowell
