Dear all,

Please find attached a CfP for paper proposals for a workshop on “Boundaries and boundary concepts as/in datafication” to take place at the University of Amsterdam, 19-20 February 2026.

The workshop aims to advance a systematic and STS-grounded exploration of boundaries and boundary concepts in the context of datafication. It will explore the potentials and limitations of analytical concepts such as boundary work and boundary objects, as well as boundaries more broadly. The workshop further serves to develop manuscripts for a special issue submission.

We welcome contributions based on empirical analyses, methodological explorations, and theoretical discussions on the interplay between datafication and boundary dynamics.

The deadline for abstracts is 15 November. See attached PDF for more details.
