The Panagora Group is looking for a Data Engineer (i.e., Python developer) as a short-term consultant. The responsibilities and qualifications for the role are outlined below. 

Location: Remote w/ potential to use our Pretoria office

Duration: 4-12 months

• Mature a cloud-based prototype platform for a pilot phase and maintain the platform after launch
• Responsible for the scripting of data ingestion, integration, storage, processing, and analysis
• Script all outstanding reports’ ingestion processes, including quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and business quality checks
• Conduct QA/QC for all data and processes
• Ensure all ingestion options are fully functional
• Support USAID in testing and piloting the platform
• Update the platform or build for new releases, as-needed
• Support data uploads; resolve technical issues

Requirements:

• Advanced Python and Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience required
• Demonstrated experience with Tableau
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients, and consultants
