Siyavula will be hosting a meet up for the
Open Knowledge Foundation (OKFN), which is another project
seeded by the Shuttleworth Foundation. The OKFN is all about open everything, and promotes open knowledge in different domains such as governmental, scientific, economic and bibliographic. This involves working to build communities of advocates and practitioners – by organising regular meetings, bringing people together for events and starting work on standards and consensus building.
Please join us on Wednesday 25 January from 18h30 - 20h00, and if you have any projects in open data, transparency, visualisation etc that you would like to share, please do!
Please sign up for this event by following this link:

The meet up will be at our office - the Open Innovation Studio, 27 Buitenkant Street, Cape Town. We are the
red doors opposite the police station, next door to the District 6 Museum (corner of Buitenkant and Albertus Streets). The Google map of our office is
here. Should you not be able to find parking in the street, you can try round the corner in the Charly's Bakery parking lot (Google map is
here).
Please bring R30 to help cover pizza and cool drinks.
Hope to see you there!
Regards
Bridget
