The North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) Office invites you to the following webinar, being held specifically for the higher education, military-affiliated community in North Carolina:
Building Support for Military Learners with the American Council on Education
American Council on Education (ACE) Learning Evaluations seeks to improve the economic mobility of independent learners by connecting traditional and nontraditional educational experiences to meaningful degree and employment opportunities. ACE has been dedicated to lifelong learning for more than 100 years through the contribution of research, alternative education resources, validated learning evaluations, quality assurance, and thought leadership in credit for prior learning.
Join ACE in this session to learn more about military credit for prior learning (CPL), why CPL is key to the success of military and veteran learners, and the role ACE plays in connecting military educational experiences to degree pathways. In this session you’ll learn more about Official Military Transcript, the ACE Military Review process, learn more about the ACE Military Guide equivalency tools, and discuss ways you can access more resources and information to enhance your military credit for prior learning (CPL) processes. All faculty, staff, business and government partners, and military-affiliated organizations and groups who can benefit from learning about Military Credit and the JST are invited to attend. This is not a workshop for students.
Date: Thursday, October 9, 2025
Time: 2:00pm - 3:30pm eastern
Please RSVP directly to ACE. Questions can be directed to Dr. Seth Marc Kamen, State Director of Transfer, Learning Recognition and Credential Alignment for NCCCS.
