Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC is looking for 2 part-time instructor positions:
  • Chemistry Labs
  • Anatomy & Physiology Labs

Chemistry

Lenoir-Rhyne University’s College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics seeks applications for a part-time faculty appointment at the rank of Instructor or Senior Instructor (as determined by the provost based on faculty handbook qualifications) beginning in August 2025. We invite applications for a part-time position in Chemistry to begin August 18, 2025. A minimum of eighteen (18) hours of graduate coursework, from an accredited institution, in chemistry or a closely related field is required, master’s degree preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 3 to 9 credit hours, with the possibility of additional courses in future semesters. Teaching responsibilities may include lecture and lab sections of introductory chemistry, general chemistry, and physical sciences. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to student learning and success by providing timely, constructive feedback and employing effective teaching strategies that support diverse learning styles.
