Hartford, CT – Today, June 26th, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) will host a summit celebrating and reflecting on America’s upcoming 250th anniversary and the essential role Connecticut plays in our nation’s history. The summit will take place in Connecticut’s storied Old Statehouse, a national landmark. 

 

During the summit, Sen. Murphy will host a panel exploring the remarkable history of democracy in Connecticut and hold a fireside chat with the 12th U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, to discuss the current threats and future outlook of that democracy.
