More than 90 student volunteers from the University of New Haven will team up with United Way of Greater New Haven to tackle three community service projects
West Haven, CT – Join United Way of Greater New Haven as we mobilize over 90 University of New Haven Residential Life staff volunteers for three projects during a Day of Service on Friday, August 16th, 2024!
Volunteers will start the morning with a rally, where University of New Haven and United Way leadership will be onsite to share words of encouragement and students perform fun skits and songs before heading out for their activities. Volunteer
projects will include a community garden cleanup with Gather New Haven, hosting activities for the residents are Mary Wade Assisted Living and Memory Care Community, and organizing outdoor events with the campers at the Soundview Family YMCA.
- 8:00 – 8:40 AM: Morning Rally
