Women Lawmakers Stand United, Endorse Jillian for Congress
December 9, 2025
Women have never been given the power we deserve. We’ve had to take it.
We’ve endured a world built without us in mind, decisions made about our bodies, and generations of being told to sit quietly and wait.
We’ve overcome that by standing united. That unity won women the ability to vote, to get an education, to be financially independent, and so much more.
Think of how long women had to wait for those basic rights.
Despite our victories, today, we’re still waiting for fair pay. For safe pregnancies. For the freedom to make our own healthcare decisions. For representation in rooms where our lives are debated but our voices are missing.
As women serving in Connecticut’s legislature, we’re tired of waiting.
That is why we’re supporting our colleague Rep. Jillian Gilchrest for Congress.
Jillian is running in Connecticut’s First District, which has only elected one woman in the last 188 years. We have seen her work tirelessly to pass laws that help people and bring us closer to the future we deserve.
Because of Jillian, Connecticut families pay less for prescription drugs, more people have healthcare, and all women in our state have reproductive freedom. She always fights for what's right, even when the deck is stacked against her. She is the best person for the job at this moment.
But this letter is not just an endorsement, it is a call to action.
Women need to stand united together. We have the opportunity to send a majority-woman delegation to Congress to represent Connecticut in Washington, but more than that, we have the ability to shape a future that’s better for the next generation — one where their voices are welcome in rooms where decisions are made.
If you’re tired of waiting, and ready to push our country to take the next step forward towards equality, join us in helping Jillian get to Congress.
