MURPHY STATEMENT ON TRUMP FY27 BUDGET PROPOSAL
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) released the following statement on President Trump’s proposed $1.5 trillion FY2027 defense budget:
“This budget tells you everything you need to know about what the Republican Party really stands for: unlimited taxpayer dollars for war and handouts to billionaires, and not a penny left over to help the American families who can’t afford to buy groceries or fill up their gas tank. It’s a non-starter that Congress must reject unambiguously.”
