WHY: Mayor Segarra will be joined by Julio Mendoza from SAMA, City officials and other project stakeholders to celebrate the development of a new CVS Pharmacy at 150 Washington Street. This project, which will create 40 permanent jobs, will include the demolition of the current structure and the construction of a new 13,000 square foot store. The parcel has been vacant for over 20 years. The Mayor will be joined by Gregg Nanni, Operations Manager for 150 Washington Street, LLC, the owner and developer; developers Gershmann/Brown and project manager Doug Murray; and a representative from Fortunato Construction.
PeoplesBank of Holyoke, MA provided financing for the project and Attorney John Kindl, a partner from the Hartford office of Pullman & Comley, assisted in the closing.
