GOVERNOR LAMONT ANNOUNCES ENDORSEMENTS FROM 87 DEMOCRATIC TOWN CHAIRS ACROSS CONNECTICUT

Groundswell of grassroots party support as local party leaders embrace Gov. Ned Lamont’s strong progressive track record, focus on affordability.

Hartford, Conn. – Gov. Ned Lamont today announced a wave of endorsements from local party leaders across the state, as 87 Democratic town committee chairs announced their support for his reelection campaign. These endorsements reflect the strong grassroots support for the governor’s affordability agenda and his vision for moving Connecticut forward.

“Connecticut Democrats have changed the conversation. We’re not just talking about tax cuts, we’re delivering them and making affordability real for working families,” said Ned Lamont. “We’re lowering costs, expanding access to health care and child care, and tackling our housing shortage. It’s responsible leadership — fiscally disciplined and focused on results. And none of it happens without our DTC chairs and local leaders, who have been critical partners in delivering for communities across our state.”

Lamont has made affordability and opportunity the core of his administration, relying on steady, responsible leadership and careful fiscal governance to deliver results for working families. His administration has passed landmark, transformative legislation, including paid family and medical leave, a higher minimum wage and historic investments in child care and education. These policies have not only helped Connecticut build one of the fastest-growing economies in the nation, but they have earned the support of voters, with state Democrats increasing support in every election since 2018. This proven track record and clear vision for the future have united DTC chairs from across the state behind Lamont.
