Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas to Address How the SAVE America Act Would Impact Voters, Election Officials and Municipalities in Connecticut

WHAT: Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas will deliver remarks on the proposed SAVE America Act and its potential impact on Connecticut voters, local election officials, and towns. She will be joined by Governor Ned Lamont and Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz

WHEN: Thursday, March 26, at 1:00 p.m.

WHERE: 165 Capitol Avenue, Hartford — Conference Room F (plenty of street parking available)

DETAILS: It's not just ID requirements that would change under the SAVE America Act. The Secretary, Governor, and Lt. Governor will outline key provisions under consideration in Congress and what they would mean in practice for voter registration, in-person and absentee voting, and how elections are administered by towns and their election officials.

WHAT: Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas will deliver remarks on the proposed SAVE America Act and its potential impact on Connecticut voters, local election officials, and towns. She will be joined by Governor Ned Lamont, Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, and representatives from the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM) and the CT Council of Small Towns (COST).

Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas Joins Shadow Hearing With U.S. Representatives DeLauro, Morelle, and Himes

WHAT: Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas will deliver remarks and answer questions on election security and efforts to protect American democracy. 

WHO: Secretary Thomas will be hosted by U.S. Representatives Rosa DeLauro, Joe Morelle, and Jim Himes. She will be joined by Miles Rapoport, former Secretary of the State of Connecticut; Ann Reed, Vice President of Advocacy at the League of Women Voters of Connecticut; Brian Lemek, Executive Director and Founder at Defend the Vote; and Bruce Ackerman, Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science at Yale Law School.

WHEN: Monday, May 4, at 1:30 p.m.
