WASHINGTON – On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 6:30pm ET, the U.S. House Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth will hold a unique event at the National Archives for the premiere of Grit & Grace: The Fight for the American Dream, a first-of-its-kind documentary-style film narrated by EMMY award-winning actress Sarah Jessica Parker.

During this special night of storytelling – the last public event before the Committee’s time comes to an end – the Committee will premiere a 30-minute motion picture it developed showcasing three powerful stories from across the country that shed light on what it means to find economic security in America and the diverse paths people are taking to get there. The event will begin with opening remarks by Committee Chairman Jim Himes (CT-04), followed by a screening of Grit & Grace, and a fireside chat with the families featured in the film. The event will conclude with a brief Q&A from those in attendance and the virtual audience.
