Please share with your camera teams:

Due to an ADA access issue, we are asking photographers to set up tripods in designated areas when shooting video in the House Chamber. The designated areas are located in the southwest and southeast corners of the Chamber (see attached diagram). The front raised corners are also available (where News 8 and CH 12 often put their cameras) as long as access to and from the wheelchair lift is not blocked.

Reporters and videographers with shoulder rigs may continue to shoot anywhere in the Chamber as long as the access points remain unobstructed.

I recognize that the audio and video plugs are in the center of the rear of the Chamber, but this is what creates the choke point for wheelchair and walker access. If a live shot is required in the Chamber (e.g., if Governor Lamont gives a closing speech), CT-N has offered to provide a clean feed, or you can run cable (must be securely taped down) to the a/v plugs with the cameras remaining in the designated areas.

Please alert me to any technical issues as early as possible so that I can help resolve problems and provide you with the access you need.
